God NodsHow Did You See God Today?
God Nods helps children notice God’s love through gentle stories about Pip, a tiny seed with a big purpose. The question, “How did you see God today?” gives families a simple way to begin talking about faith through everyday moments.
What Is a God Nod?
A God Nod is a small everyday moment that reminds us of God’s love—a sunny day, a kind word, a helping hand, or the comfort of someone we love.
God Nods helps children connect the little things they already notice to one simple truth:
God knows me. God loves me.
The Mustard-Seed Message
Jesus compared faith to a mustard seed—a small seed that grows into something strong and lasting.
God Nods was created with the hope that faith can begin with one story, one prayer, one kind moment, or one simple question:
How did you see God today? When we plant a small seed of faith in our children, we can trust God to help it grow into a lifelong love for Jesus.
Plant the seed. God will do the rest.
Why God Nods?
Young children may not yet understand big ideas about faith, but they understand love, kindness, comfort, beauty, and joy.
God Nods gives families a natural way to talk about God through the everyday moments children already know—being loved, included, helped, and cared for.
God Nods helps families connect those moments with simple biblical truths children can understand: “Jesus loves me,” “God hears my voice,” and “Love is kind.”

Read the God Nods book and notice the little moments Pip discovers throughout his day.
Ask your child, “How did you see God today?” There is no wrong answer. Your child may say a puppy, a hug, a flower, a friend, a snack, or the moon outside the window. Your child’s response may be simple, but the habit of noticing is meaningful.
End the day by thanking God for the God Nods you discovered together.
Over time, this simple rhythm can help children develop a deeper understanding that God is present every day of their lives.
Meet Nancy
As a mother of four, Nancy wanted to help her children understand that God was present in the little moments of their everyday lives. She began asking them one simple question: “How did you see God today?” Their answers opened conversations about faith, gratitude, kindness, and the many reminders of God’s love around them.
As a former Speech-Language Pathologist, Nancy understood how much young children are capable of learning. She believed that if children could understand words like ball and puppy, they could also begin learning words like God and Jesus, along with simple truths such as “Jesus loves me.”
What began as a simple question in Nancy’s own home became God Nods™. She hopes Pip helps children and families notice God’s love in the little moments they share each day.
